■ Call for Papers: International Symposium on ACG Culture and Technology 2023
The International Academic Symposium on ACG Culture and Technology, established in 2012 within the Digital Content and Animation Program at NCTU( National Chiao Tung University), has become the most significant conference in the field of animation, comics, games, and entertainment in Taiwan and across Asia.
The conference has garnered recognition and awards from prestigious institutions, including the Ministry of Culture and the National Library. In addition to publication and archiving in domestic and international universities and research institutions, selected papers have also been translated into practical outcomes, such as tabletop games, local revitalization projects, travel itineraries, and game-based audiovisual productions.
As U-ACG expands its business and research operations to Japan, we are thrilled to announce this year’s call for papers and invite you all to participate in this unprecedented and innovative academic conference!
ACG 文化国際シンポジウムは、2012 年に交通大学で設立され、日本以外のアジア全域で最も重要なアニメーション、コミック、ゲーム、エンターテイメントの分野におけるシンポジウムとなっています。
発表された論文は、国内外の大学や研究機関での出版やアーカイブに加えて、中国大陸と台湾、香港の図書館を含む名門機関からの認識と賞を受けています。また、一部の論文はボードゲームや地域振興プロジェクト、映像制作など、実践的な成果にも活かされました。
The 12th Symposium is scheduled to be held at Keio University’s Hiyoshi Campus in Japan from November 22nd to 25th, 2023.
We aim to explore new frontiers by integrating academic knowledge, international exchange, industry matchmaking, pilgrimage to sacred sites, and trend forums. Through this innovative approach, we seek to create a new format for the conference that bridges academia, industry, work, and travel.
